Operation Gratitude
On Friday, September 29,
2006 the Papago Rotary Club of Scottsdale and Phoenix East Rotary
Clubs hosted the first annual Operation Gratitude event to
raise funds, primarily to support the Arizona National Guard Family
Assistance Fund.
While many Arizona Guard men and women
have followed their country's call for service, there is little
support available for the family members they leave behind.
These young men and women leave full-time jobs (and salaries) and
their families to fulfill their mission throughout the globe.
Sadly, the family members left behind suffer as military pay is
typically far less than the civilian pay they left behind...but
family expenses continue.
The Arizona National Guard Family
Assistance Fund helps fill that gap.
Thank you for your help and
support by your purchases of tickets to the event
and donations (either cash or in-kind) as sponsors or
toward the auction.
